got this grinder to go with my machine, now i just need the bang-bang to complete the set up.... if money is no object i want everything from the cafe series, but my kitchen was tiny, haha. by the way the grinder is sold out everywhere!! i can only find a few in Myer.and i'm looking for a coffee making class to enrol, Sunbeam will have coffee workshops at the coming Food and Wine Show in Melb and Sydney, but again, no surprise, Mr Bassett will not come to Perth. ahhh well, i will still go to the Show, although i remember last year i went there, the queue was sooooo looooooong we gave up.
anyway.... will keep looking, i only know the basics, i should learn more and make the most of the machine.

I think Aroma Cafe and Dome do barrista day courses.
Also i think there is this italian warehouse on Francis St in northbridge do a day course too.
thanks feli, will have a look!!
pity you didn't buy it a year or more ago, they were offering barista training sessions with the guy who developed the machine. Don't know about aroma...they make crap coffee but dome do intensive training for staff (i'm a barista there) I can find out if they do courses for the public. Enjoy your machine...I need to get a grinder and a bang bang too!!
Hi Nichole, thanks for dropping by!
i bought another sunbeam espresso machine couple of years ago, they also offer that same course, but it's only available for people in Sydney and Melb only, too.
I agree with your comment about Aroma, there's one downstairs at work, the coffee has no flavour at all, and it's always boiling hot!
It'd be great if Dome do courses, cos i LOVE their coffees, and most importantly - consistent quality. guess that's the result of good training!
I bought a Sunbeam espresso machine a few months ago and it came with a free Paul Bassett barista course at the "WA Barista Academy" in Northbridge (the name suggests a much more imposing building than it is). The class was a very useful intro to using the machine you have to best effect. The website (baristaacademy.com.au) says they offer courses for home coffee makers. Also I've heard "Epic" (in West Perth?) does these short courses too. Good luck!
