some pics to share

5 days has passed (9 days to go!), I haven't done anything I planned to do during this 2-week break, been too busy shopping and eating :)

I had a quiet but happy Christmas, mostly out and about taking photos and experimenting with the camera. Just wanna share a few photos here, more on Flickr / Facebook.

Merry Christmas!!

I'm soooooo happy that I've got a Canon EOS 450D for Christmas, I know he's giving me this because I've been eyeing on it for so long. We bought the IS twin lens kit, which is pretty good value. And IS is a must for my shaky hands.

This camera produces excellent shots, it's super fast, and super clever. I'm in love. It'll keep me busy during the 2 weeks break. I've got to play with it and make the most of its features and functions. I have a lot to learn.

I'll keep uploading pics on facebook and flickr, til then, have a great time and stay safe!

what? it's december already?!

scary isn't it? the sign of getting old ;)

it's so busy at work, we had our christmas lunch it was a lot of fun, i had a great time, people complained about the food, i'm fussy with food but i don't really care, so long as i enjoyed the company and we all had a great time, that's the main thing.

we don't have plans for Christmas, i think i need to do:
  1. read the books/watch the DVDs i bought from Hong Kong
  2. tidy up my websites, and hopefully give Strawberry Jam a revamp, hopefully
  3. tidy up my home office/studio, it's a mess!!
  4. get a haircut
not much, i'll try to remind myself, don't waste the holidays, it's not like i'm working for myself anymore!! haha.

----
another thing, i don't usually recommend restaurants to people, but i'm doing it. reason - i think everyone's different, esp when it comes to food and wine. i read an article from the Seth's Blog a while ago, i totally agreed, if you keep the good restaurants to yourself, you'll find them closed down one day. which happened so many times it's frustrating!!

so i recommend Fu Restaurant in William Street Northbridge, a Malaysia/Singapoean restaurant, it's a nice place, and the food is good too, licenced, they also serve cocktail. I love this place, and I reckon they're opened in the wrong location, if it's in Leederville or Subiaco, i bet they'll be super busy, they can even charge more. Like Wagamama (which i think is crap) charges like $18 for a stir fried noodle, it doesn't even taste half as good as my home-cooked noodle.

Fu seems to be pretty quiet most of the time (maybe i always go there/walk pass at the wrong time), i really really want them to stay open, I know i don't have enough readers, but i believe in the 6 degree thing. So try it, recommend it if you also think it deserves more business.
